I've heard of women having difficulty being taken seriously in the corporate world, prompting them to take coaching classes to change their aspects, but is that a problem with people in the Acting realm?
I'd make more comments about the fine fine fine Musecaster boys, but I think in my case, that counts as sexual harrassment:'(
P.S. I'm a new viewer that was introduced to you guys by Wynflete's Ad. And now I am completely caught up on the MuseCast and I think that you all are awesome!
I think girls (generally, not being specific or anything) tend to be a bit more "reserved" on this matter than guys.
Plus, there's not normally much to say about a guy's looks, are there? Nice glasses?
Most of the time, they don't wear makeup, or style their hair differently, and such. There's just not a lor to say about them. "You're hott" just sounds weird.
God, I sound so judge-ish in this comment. Sorry:[
well, I agree that that's what the genders are usually valued for, but I wouldn't say that's a cultural thing since I don't know any culture where it's not that way.
I can't speak for the guys, but I rarely comment on guys looks because I think it's a bit tacky. If I notice a girl has gotten a haircut or is looking particularly nice I might compliment her, but I just don't think it's good form to comment about looks when that's clearly not what someone's video is about.
I think it's absolutely a cultural thing. Men are valued for what they say & think & do and women are valued for... their looks. I think it's absolutely changing, but still there, omnipresent and looming over gender relations in our country. This is something I've been thinking about, too!
Glad your mom's on track again!:)
Lol, "little" casting directors:D
