Bellissimo!Schipa was a truly great tenore di grazie.His voice was light but very well controlled and projected. And absolutely no Italian tenor had better phrasing and diction than Schipa.Bravissimo Tito e grazie mille!

They are good, but, still, in terms of the delivery, the whole package, Schipa has exceptional voice color, beauty and technique that Murolo and Ranieri cannot surpass.

And what about non-operatic, but true neapolitan interpretations like Roberto Murolo or Massimo Ranieri?

To the many who believe Schipa's voice was piccina - non era vero. His voice was very penetrating between G and the high Bb. I know this from hearing comments from people who sang with him and from listening to his live recordings especially with Rosa Ponselle in Don Giovanni.
