Beat Girl AKA Wild For Kicks [1960]

An excerpt from a recommended UK JD B flick. Stars Gillian Hills as a rebellious art school student. She doesn't like her rich daddy's new French wife so she wreaks revenge by stripping for Christopher Lee. LOL Well maybe not quite but who cares about accuracy when one can be sensationalistic? This very cool film boasts an intriguing cast which also includes Oliver Reed (seen in this clip) and Adam Faith. Directed by Edmond T. Gréville (Princess Tam-Tam, The Hands Of Orlac). Music by John Barry. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of extras on the DVD but am otherwise pleased to see that it's available. The Doctor prescribes viewing Beat Girl twice a day until you feel cool again.

Music and people dancing don't match. You have to wonder what they were really dancing to. Do you have the clip where Chris Lee comments that "Someone down there likes me" when the girl wanders into his strip joint?

Yeah! At the young age of sixteen, she really knew how to work it. She's the center of attention in every scene she's in. Well, for those of us of the male persuasion, anyway.
