Michael Karmon - Sonatina California - I.Mountains

This is the first movement of a three movement piece which I discovered on the Delcamp classical guitar forum. The composer, Michael Karmon, recently joined the forum and very generously allows access for free to some of his scores. This particular piece has really caught my imagination and seems to genuinely evoke the sense of place that Michael is expressing through the music.

Very impressive first movement, it's very colorful, lyrical and expansive. You play this beautifully with real feeling and understanding of the composer's language. Karmon is very gifted I think, this piece sounds like something that could be a new Berkeley Sonatina. Very good. Loved your playing.
