  • If you dont mind me asking what do u feed him? I have a 25 yr old Standardbred mare ,Velvet, and shes starting to lose some weight. and i love her to death and want her to live as long as she can , healthly. thanks

  • @ponyprincess25 hey :) This is him 4 years ago.. and he still looks just as good now! :) I feed him a big scoop of Mitavite gumnuts, a scoop of Copra, Equilibrium, and about 6 double handed big handfuls of Lucerne chaff. He gets that 3 times a day, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner :) It get be a big exxy, but its worth it <3

  • he is beautiful i would kill for a horse like him x

  • @cas995 thanks :) he is amazing, hes 30 soon! and he still looks great, i love him :) Hope you get a horse one day xx

  • A prime example that old does not equal thin! Your boy looks great for his age.

  • @RizismyBaby Exactly! If you feed them well they will not VERY well and a lot of it, lol. He costs me about $70 a week to feed. <3

  • i have a 25 year old standardbred mare who is going fantastic and acts like a 3 year oldd but is never skinny allways fat :) beautiful horse

  • Blue Seal that is. Also high fat, low carb feed is good - Blue Seal Sentinal Senior is great.

  • Wonderful ! For those of you with senior horses this shows that old does not equal thin. Look after their teeth, worming and FEED them. A good high protein "ration balancer" can do wonders. I like Blur Seal Sunshine Plus. Also use a farrier who will keep those toes from getting too high or long so their feet don't get out of balance. Good job on this lovely horse! Congrats!

  • So cute! I have a 34 year old Appaloosa named Patches, and this horse's expression reminded me of him :)

  • Lovely boy! Wishing you all the best!

  • @loziloo17 thanks , my mare is starting to drop weight .:( so i was just wanted to other feed options tht will put the weight back on :) THANKS

  • I love older horses! You should see my 34 year old mare! :D Shes going strong too!

  • It's so great to see older horses act so good! <3 I'm presently riding a 24 year old Quarter horse for drill team and he's doing strong as well :) Go oldies but goodies!
