About different books that are called Necronomicon (especially the Simon Necronomicon) and why they aren't. Also about the different magickians that wrote about the Necronomicon Gnosis.

  • *Great Video Once Again*

    He who see's knows all.

  • Thank you, Andy!

  • You are very educated in ancient cultures and that is brilliant. Many magickians dont look beyond religion, usually their own.

    Totally on target! :)

  • Thank you, Nick! I may not have a scientific degree, but those five years of studying comparative religions were not a waste of time... :)

  • One of those mentioned in the intro called it in a message to me "a useful contemporary grimoire"---"contemporary", something I knew at 15.

  • Ah, that's right. You're a Saturnian fellow.

  • That's "Saturnalia" for me: ritually enjoying Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll...

  • Haha, wow. Thanks for the response.

Oh, and have a wonderful solstice/Yule/Christmas/whatever relevant gnostic saint feast is close by.

  • Well, it's as good to make contact with those babylonian beings as any other form of mythology. The results might be a bit darker, but that's a result of the expectations connected to the headline "Necronomicon". Personaly I find the Simon Necronomicon very funny, cuz there is that story where "Abdul" makes a fire out of canabis bushes and in the same night witnesses a dark ritual at that place.

  • I've heard a lot of very successful work with the Simon Necronomicon. Despite the obvious fact that it's not from the era it claims to be, have you found it to be a legitimate method of contacting the entities contained therein?

  • The Necronomicon? No, it's an invention of HPL to spice up his stories. But that doesn't matter when it comes to performing magick ;).

  • Very good, but do you think its real?
