  • Thanks Nadeen for the tutorial, I have been searching for a video on aclyric background doing, thank god i found yours.. Could you please tell me the names of those brushes, the one you use to blend, what is it called. And also, do we need an extender or can i do without it, what does it do?

  • @Caramenne The large brush is a filbert...or Oval filbert. I always use Extender, with acrylics, you just don't have the playing time, most especially if you live in a dry climate. My most favorite Extender is DecoArt Traditions Extender and Blending Medium. I have tried them all and this is the only one that does not get sticky or gummy. We sell this from our website at the Art Apprentice Online. By the 8ox. bottle you'll never regret it! Enjoy!

  • Looks great Nadeen!!...~Keni

  • @Bully4oru Glad you like this one!

  • I truly love this background. I learned a good deal about creating a great background which will work for a number of subjects. I also very much enjoyed your instruction. You appear so confident and at ease teaching. You're a natural! Thank you.

  • @THESHOMROM Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I hope one day you'll join me in my online classes at our online schools.

  • Honestly, this is so relaxing to watch. I like watching the empty frame and then it gets transformed into a nice picture.

  • I just got oil & acriylic paints and I was serching for youtube video's on how to get started.. & I saw yours and thought 'Wow, Your really good at teaching.' So i was woundering, How can I get classes, From you. :)

    beautiful woman too

  • i was wondering what was the kind of brush your using :D its so nice thanks

  • ow , i don't own extender, i was wandering, is there any thing i can use as a substitute..? because the thing i find hard with acrilics is that i don't know how to work with the speed of it drying. i'm trying to do an underpainting for a portrait and i don't know what colours to do first! the dark colours or the lighter colours?
