  • @eriblood Xilbet is a blend of chick-pea flour, salted water and finely chopped garlic. The sauce in the middle ('slsi') is finely chopped tomatoes, garlic and onions simmered in vegetable oil with berbere. You eat Xilbet with njera. Ga'ät is roasted wheat and barley flour (thxni) boiled in salted water. The sauce in the middle is melted Eritrean ghee (thesmi) and berbere. You eat Ga'ät without njera (you dip the porridge in the sauce), but you serve it with yoghurt.

  • actually Eritrea has 3 registered religions .What is the point of either you have injera or not .It is a horse hay for some rich farmer in the U.S. so ,what is this " do you have injera ? " question, as if it is the best nutritious food .The highlanders in Eritrea eat Injera, but in the low land region they don't even eat it under threat of punishment.

  • What is the difference between hilbet and ga'at?

  • ppl say its hard to find Teff!!!! a friend of mine who went there to visits told me about it.

  • enough with the tigrigna music.

  • happy independenc day to all eritrean:s

  • Very happy birthday ERITREA
