Brian May's 10 minute Brighton rock solo live at wembley in 1986.

In case you don't notice, he is playing part of this with a huge 2-3 second delay echo - he is in effect playing along with himself in echo. That's why it sounds like 2 guitars. Any guitarist will tell you - THIS IS HARD, so please consider before commenting " I can do it ."

Thanks to you, Impossible Solo 2 is now available, watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYBHP8KgRZw

  • if you really know what he is doing here youd appreciate it the harmonizing here is amazing with 2 half second delays while not impossible id lean to say way less than 1 percent of decent guitar players could actually pull this off in the way he did it

  • Jeff Beck envied him for his solo's.

Brian is the king of melodic rock guitar

  • why is the title called impossible when he can do it

  • I can understand why they'd put an ad for safe sex before watching this video.

  • @rastamaniakTHC How was it lame? Not many could do this. You've got to have a great ear and knowledge for that kind of solo, because if you play one wrong note, everything gets ruined. Mastering those delays in such a perfect way is very hard.

  • you don't have to play fast .you can be the best guitarist.

  • It got boring after 0:00. :P

  • lol....it sucks....really....i love guitars and music but this solo it lame..

  • This is the best solo in the world. It is not impossible but it is genius. Brian may is the best guitarist in the world and that is not up for debating.

  • wat the f@#*% is wrong wit de 12 people dat disliked dis

  • Arquimedes had sayed: Gimme a leaver and I leave the World...and I Say: give a guitar to Brian May and you see magic music form God

  • Well, the two delays are definitely not 2-3 second delays, they are about 800-900 ms, equally spaced. You can easily find the comfortable speed that fits you the most. First you hear the real time tone, than the first and the second delay, and sometimes they are in perfect harmonies with each other. It is very simple. At least in theory :) You can find pretty good delays for this in the Digitech BM pedal, get one and try it!
