@happynjoyousnfree Alexander technique is not designed to treat specific problems. If you got 13 lessons, you realized that it's about educating the whole body and removing bad habits. You can't undo your accident, but you can prevent poor habits in reaction to pain. I understand your frustration, but you are probably better than if you didn't have had the lessons, even if there is no way to test that affirmation. There are certainly other techniques that could give you more immediate results.

can you hear my one hand clapping? it's not about clapping. it's about not clapping consciously.

@happynjoyousnfree cryptic is what u get trying to explain complicated things in 6:37
minutes video or evan 13 lessons
also the point is not to "tell you the answers", but to help you figure it out yourself (evan if it will take "longer") so that you would be able to "hunt your own food"

Although I'm sympathetic with what you are saying, I take issue with the manner of saying it. By posting a video on YouTube and addressing myths, you seem to be addressing the general public. But I think your language is not easy to grasp by them---if 20 years ago I heard someone talk of "un-posturing rather than posturing" with no concrete examples, I be confused and/or bored. Also you should not read something verbatim--you should look at the camera and explain as you would to a student.

I heard about the Alexander Technique nearly 30 years ago. Recently, an injury finally drove me to take lessons despite the considerable expense. After 13 lessons, I was nowhere near where I had hoped to be. This video's rather cryptic way of describing the technique is a perfect illustration of why I ended up so frustrated. I really think there is a clear way to explain these concepts, but Alexander teachers seem to be deliberately obtuse.
