@MikeTaylorLives Yeah I heard something about that. I think Sunbow said that they wanted more money to continue doing production of the show which is why DIC decided to continue the show for cheap. I was born in 1987 and I wish I was around earlier to have had this toy. I'm surprised you still have it after all these years and it's still worth a lot in the box in mint condition.

That's because Sunbow, the company that animated G.I. Joe before DIC, contracted work out to animation studios in Japan.
The X-19 was one of my last purchases from the old G.I. Joe line as a kid in school. I took pretty good care of it over the last 20 years and it now sits with a place of honor on my entertainment center in my living room.

@necrokratia it hadnt been scrapped going past the airforce base in indain springs theres a plane in there the moment it lands its rushed into the hanger and theres been a weird looking plane flying around above tonopah nevada which is mayb 20 miles away from the test site so idk if it is the aurora or somthing diffrent i know its a prototype plane thou

The project was rumored to have started back in the 1980's as a successor to the u2 and sr71 spyplanes.

The classified plane you speak of was called the aurora and was declassified alot longer then 4 years ago.
