  • thankyou for posting this video it was very helpful. My DS was 5 yrs. old but it was in perfect condition, I just felt like changing the shell color. Now it's CLEAR and you can see all the parts inside, and everyone is jealous of my one-of-a-kind AWESOME DS lite!!!

  • You're welcome. Support our sponsors and we will have more products/videos.

  • Thanks for this, My DS lite needs some serious repairs, but most sites only show you how to take it apart. suppose i could reverse what I did but this makes it a lot easier

  • Thanks. We appreciate your input.

  • if you're nervous, just get it pre-done.

  • hey may you ask me what screw to disassemble that ds plz? i really need to help my friends out

  • I am sending this to my Dad. He tried to fix my hing and replace it with a all new shell. He got it a part and can't reassemble it. I think the replace it with a new shell really confused him. Esspecial when he didn't have any instruction on how to do it. Now my DS Lite is al messed up :(

  • where can i get mine pre-done at?

  • Thanks for responding. I managed to do it without breaking anything. The one thing I found most tricky was geting the black wire back under the screen again. I did get it in eventually though.

  • the flatwire is not as delicate as you think. IF you follow the instructions and do not yank on it or twist it up, you will be fine! Don't panic, and remember, NOTHING needs to be yanked on hard to take it apart. There is a gentle, easy way to do it and as soon as you know how to do it, it will come off and go back together very easily!

  • I feel confident as I've done this sort of thing before; I just wondered how delicate it was

  • how delicate is the flatwire? I want to do this but a lot of sites are advising against it.

  • Thanks! This will come in handy when i get my new shell in like a week, What song(s) is\are playing btw? I've heard part of the song somewhere else, but its bugging me cuz i can't remember where i've heard it from. It starts at 2:58
