Going Mach 2.5 at BALLS XX, our carbon fiber Mongoose98XL flying with a AMW Blue Baboon motor, dual flight computers, CO2 parachute-deployment cartridges and a real-time GPS streaming system on rocket.

1,903.01763 mph is pretty darn fast.

I don't know whether there simply aren't enough people to make it important, or if it wouldn't be useful, but what about an alarm or horn to warn people downrange to look out, not all of them are going to be near a radio.
