Tiger Woods should have heeded the advice of this witty tune by Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg, from the picture, "Cabin In The Sky." It's performed here by Eddie "Rochester" Anderson and Lena Horne, the two stars that sang it in the movie. Horne plays a seductress and Anderson is the presumably married poor shnook who struggles with his conscience. This version is from "Jubilee," one of several film and V-Disc series created to entertain GI's serving in World War II.

  • Lena is so sexy!

  • I love this song. Love Eddie's performance best, perhaps -- it's the acme of old Hollywood character actors. But damn! Why didn't they minimize the range requirements for his piece? I mean, the high notes create a nice dramatic build for the song; but in the end, poor Eddie sounds like he's about to tear his throat in two, and his diction just flies out the window as he strains to get the notes out.

    Great performance, nonetheless!
