Vanillkipferal! they're an Austrian Christmas cookie, also man in Germany, Hungary and other near by countries. Crescent shaped crumbly cookie made with ground almonds or hazelnuts and of course vanilla, coated with confectioners sugar when still warm from the oven. But just as nice when cool too!

aaah this is actually a holiday staple in my family! my great-aunt made 'em like nobody's business. so delicious.

Homemade eggnog! It's a staple around my house. I like mine with a little peppermint oil.

Chili con queso. It is a holiday staple at our house ever since my brother was the head cook for a mexican restaurant back in 1970. 1 block Velveeta, 2 cans Ro-Tel tomatoes and green chile's. Melt cheese. Add the tomatoes slowly and keep warm in a chafing dish. The longer it warms the hotter it gets. Easy, and pleasing.

yeah, vanillekipferl are pretty famous in austria. a little bit work intense, but they are worth it. you guys should totaly make them.
