  • wow good horn wos that the hss fast ferry where wor you dubilin or holly head cool fast ferrys, that ferry is good at sea with big jets at the back to power it along cool is in it the way it wos designed lods of cars.

  • Service speed is 40kts - they rarely exceed this by much, although one has been seen doing 50+! With spiralling fuel costs these behemoths are an economic nightmare, consuming 20tons of light diesel oil an hour at 40kts! The HSS is like Concorde - years ahead of its time, but the simple operating costs are what is killing them, which is a shame in a way...

  • The Stena HSS is a fantastic fast ferry. Unfortunately it uses a vast amount of fuel because it has so much power and it carries an amazing amount at great speed. It cruises at at least 40 knots and has four powerful water jets. I have been on extremely rough crossings and smooth trips. It's always magic to drive off at the end of the trip across the sea.

  • i think its more crappy than it is short :P
