  • If I may, I would say that it does. A chess player needs some time to mature his/her game. Many young players are aggressive even though their aggression may not be 100% sound. Past age 30, I think that age is not a factor until you get old and senile. If you continue to play chess, you will probably reach your peak sometime between 25-35. So age is a factor. Also, if you start playing late, then it's probably less likely that you will reach your full potential. Hope that helps.
