  • the only thing big jock knew was how to beat you idiots

  • I was at that game. What the film doesn't show is that John Greig was robbed of the ball on the edge of the box by Connelly for the third goal, yet Fergie was made the scapegoat and never played again for them. After the fourth goal, the huns were not attempting to invade the pitch, they were just pouring out of the ground via the track, totally scunnered.Happy days.Davie White got his jotters soon after that.

  • george connelly was better than beckenbauer. if he hadn't lost the plot....

  • 1st sentence couldnt be more apt -rangers on the right, celtic on the left-hail hail

  • How dreadful is the commentary!!

  • @INNY1888 Ha ha, that's wishful thinking indeed, been at many of these old Hampden Gers v Celts finals & its never looked that way ever, but it makes good conversation.

  • @tirnaog09 Mmmmmm do they indeed, me thinks you're being a bit too serious but, to be fair you do have a point.

  • @Gersroolz Real Scots? Real Scots despise Rangers just as much as Celtic

  • Look at the crowds! Amazing! Most Celtic fans!! Easy over 90,000!!!!

  • Real Scots know who the real Huns are Timmy!!

  • After the fourth goal went in the huns made a mass exodus along the track and out between the stand and terracing. They were totally gutted.

The film doesn't show the shambles of the third goal when John Greig and the goalie ballsed it up between them and Connelly nicked in to score.Yet Fergie was the scapegoat.I wonder why?

  • Yep Davy White. I was at this game as a 13 yr old. Shocking tackles and off the ball rough stuff from the huns, a Celtic "goal" disallowed, Sir Awex head butted Murdoch & Fallon at different times and the hun hordes invaded the field twice.

BTW It was Lennox who crossed for King Billy McNeill's opening goal, not "Old" as the old Etonian commentator said.

But ach, never mind. Hun skelping at its finest & we were without a number of players including Jinky.

Still love it after 40 years.
