People here saying 'what about the IRA' yes some actions what the IRA did was wrong but some of the members that were caught had to serve jail time, got abused in jail and died in jail. The british army are funded by the British tax payers, they are allowed to intern raid toucher and murder people without prosecution. The IRA are branded as terrorist but it's the British army that does a thing like this, and many many more. And at the end of the day if there British army never set foot in Irela

@garethella
Oh! I see. Then it's ok to shoot civilians for dead british soldiers killed by the IRA? Wait a moment! Didn't we had this already in history? You kill one of our soldiers, we in return kill randomly chosen innocent civilians. Life is so easy when your head is full of bigottery!

Will we ever hear the end of "bloody sunday"? So it was a shame but a majority of the killings during the troubles were carried out by the IRA. A truth which the repulican movement wants to keep hidden. That's why they want all the attention constantly focused on the wrong-doing of the security forces.

@garethella Fine but what about the people who weren't rioting and killed. Specifically people killed by lenny murphy,ulster loyalists, and the british army.Besides people in the crowd, a large number of them, had peaceful intentions. But if you don't feel sympathy for these people killed at least have some for the irish that were peaceful and killed. But personally I think that neither side was that great.

@MrScruffles10 ,i think youll find there was at least 1 IRA person shot (gerard donachy) before all this Paul Challenor was the first soldier to be killed by the Provisional IRA in Derry, when he was shot by a sniper on the Creggan estate. A further six soldiers had been killed in Derry by mid-December 1971. 1,932 rounds were fired at the British Army, who also faced 211 explosions and 180 nail bombs and who fired 364 rounds in return.I have no sympathy whatsoever with the dead rioters, none.

@garethella Yes there were irish republicans there but it was a peace march and also people taking part in the march were not part of the ira and either way they were unarmed and the unit that fired on them was well known for violence against protesters.

@MrScruffles10 ,No i despise violent irish republicans, which is what these people were. dont believe the hype.

@garethella That's a bit mean considering it was a peace march and I admit the ira were very bad but this march had nothing to do with the ira so do you dislike the irish or something?
