I got to looking for info about Chugwater after reading about Francis Parkman spending a few nights near it during the summer of 1846.

Search Google books for The Oregon trail by Francis Parkman Jr. Good read about the 'real' west!

Thank you @hughmorris2008 ! I sure will get info from Francis Parkman! Yes Chugwater is actually on the route of the Oregon trail. This town is really unique, you also have to see the oldest Wyoming soda fountain (operating) - they actually have a web site...

The old abandoned Hotel in 4:32...My Grandpa, George Brooks owned that for many years throughout the 1950's-early 80's, I really miss visiting that old town, alot of good memories there & seeing the old grain elevator / downtown area is awesome.

Amazing ! Did you actually have the occasion to get inside the hotel? I agree, Chugwater downtown is great, I just went there again 3 months ago and always feel like I find something new to see. This old museum is also very nice.
