Had to roll into the throttle slow to keep the tires from spinning. Made 90 in 2nd.

1998 Park Avenue, 3.4" supercharger pulley, headers/high-flow cat, fenderwell CAI, built trans, high-stall torque converter, and INTENSE-programmed PCM.

  • Do you think an L67 top swap would be worth it on an N/A Park Ave?

  • @BikerAuto63 I honestly don't know much about top swaps. If you want more info on those, check out 3800Pro. Frankly, though, just getting to the high 14s is going to be really pushing the N/A bottom end. If you're looking for real speed out of an N/A shortblock, I suggest saving up your money for a turbo. You can push an N/A bottom end into the low 14s with a turbo without nearly as much risk as with a top-swap.

  • I wish you guys would stop all this fighting.

  • @pathfinder1958 yuh, those comments have been on long enough... dingleberry hasn't come back for almost two weeks, so the fun is over...

  • I love these comments on this page lol, You know what i think people's problem is, they just can't wrap their heads around a granny looking buick blowing the doors off of their SUPER FANTASTICALLY FAST AWESOME !!!SCIONS TC'S!!!

    *sarcasm*

My Uncle has a Regal GS and he pisses off quite a few people that THINK their cars are fast. People tend to think that 60 in 6 seconds flat isn't fast, but for a car that's got room to fit a few bikes in the trunk and lounge out in the back seat i think it is.

  • @admiraljimmy inorite? The GS is a quick car, even faster than the GTP by a little. I looked at a few before I found my PAU. I could probably fit a Harley in my trunk...

BTW, the time on the gauge is a bit off because of tire size, and it's also seriously out of date. Last time I was out to the track, it pulled a 13.8@104mph. If I ever get the money for an intercooler, I should be able to pulley down and drop another .25 off pretty easily.

  • @Jordan2451 lol, that is a Canadian flag sticker on the camera. I'm a member of the Pontiac Bonneville Club, and the last get-together we had before this video was in Ontario. Our host was sticking Canadian Flag stickers on everything. It wouldn't come off!

  • @BikerAuto63

The bottom end castings are the same fro L67s and L36s. The connecting rods are longer (weaker) and the cam timing is different.

The L36 blocks can be pushed pretty far (around 500hp). Low 13s high 12s are obtainable with the high compression of the L36 and the top swap.

    Worth it.

  • Great!

  • damn that car is beautiful and fast as fuck.

  • @daltonultra I appreciate it. I'll take a look into turbos as well. I was worried about the risks outweighing the benefits on a top swap and glad there might be another way without risking nearly as much. Thanks.

  • aww yeah if only it was an olds 98 or pontiac bonni

  • well i must say thats a fast car

  • whats it cost to insure one of these???

  • 0 to 60 in 6 seconds for a luxary sedan car as opposed to a sports car is pretty fast
