Dr. John Martin demonstrates how he performs a lower eyelid surgery, known as a blepharoplasty using the CO2 laser. In this procedure, the fat is repositioned into the tear trough to create a smooth transition from cheek to lower lid. The fat is not excised since this can result in a hollowing of the lid post-op.

  • Im sorry i had a lower bleph done and 6 moths and even years later it didnt do a damn thing and i used one of the absoute best surgeons in my city ( Houston). i looked MONTHS younger!!!

  • @LETMEINGUYS Sorry to hear you had disappointing results. Everyone has different anatomy, and heals differently - but most people are pretty happy post-op.

  • I am 61 and think am told that I look good for my age but would love to have this done. I feel 50 but so tired of dark circles and bags. Can this be done using only a local?

  • @crosscountrycreation

It can be done using only a local - but there is a fair amount of pulling which even the local anesthetic won't eliminate. If someone is anxious or not good with pain, we recommend local sedation, with in IV to give some sedation.

  • Ive been using restalyn in my lower eyelid tear troughs for 4 years now. Im 25. It gets deeper, wider and longer each time and my skin is getting baggier each time also.

The doctors tell me its impossible but they are also the ones telling me to get more done to fill in the trough.

I see there are other 20 year olds looking at this as an alternative, I am also. My questions are if its done earlier does it work better and hold off aging longer? Also what is the recovery time?

  • if you are really hollow, there may not be enough of your own fat to move into the trough. Sometimes by tightening the lid, you can mask it a bit. But you seem a bit young for that. You may want to try putting some fat from elsewhere on your body into the trough - it will last a longtime, and you can do some laser to try and lighten any dark color. Tough to keep putting in restylane at your age!

  • i afraid the laser will be hit the eyes balls and the patient will go blind for sure...... accident will always happen.... so scary.... dont do laser!!!

  • Damn people do anything to look good.

  • Do you ever have young patients that get this done? I'm 25, and don't necessarily have baggy under eyes but I have puffy pockets directly beneath my lower eyelid that has been getting worse in the last couple years. You can see it, particularly when I smile, and in pictures it is pretty obvious. Is lower blepharoplasty an appropriate solution for this/me?

  • Um I'm just gonna be the immature one and say EWEWEWEWEWEWEWWWWWWW!

  • @LETMEINGUYS you paid 3gz for this procedure with this Dr?

  • it cost me 3000.00

  • @LETMEINGUYS how can you look months younger if your saying it didnt do a damn thing?

  • I couldn't look, this was absolutely repulsive. Holy god.
