Fedor has always been overhyped. Yes he was the best HW at a point a LONG time ago. When he was fighting Tim Sylvia and Hong Man Choi, that same Fedor would have been smashed by Big Foot, Dan Henderson and probably every UFC Heavyweight. Of course fanboys have to resort to saying he's out of his prime which only makes me laugh harder because he would be the youngest heavyweight EVER, in any fighting sports to be out of their primes... All 3 opponents who beat him recently were OLDER than him.
@Specialflip He is indeed a heavy hitter, but not a very technical striker. He is a wrestler and the ground game is where he wins his fights. Sadly, he hasn't been the same since his surgery and now he has to have another one. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires if this next surgery doesn't work out :/
@Evker0 you make a valid point. i would just like to see brock in a stand up only kind of thing, im not one for the ground game. he looks like a real heavy hitter, i think a match between brock and alistair overeem would be too legit.
@Specialflip He did get caught, but in defense of Mir, I would have done that same thing against a bigger and more physical opponent. A win is a win and Mir used his superior BJJ to beat a better opponent. Did he STEAL the win? Yes. But it wasnt a bitch move. The real bitch move would have been to lay there and keep getting his face raped by Brock's giant fists.
@Evker0 i agree with you, that other dude keeps contradicting himself and switching the story. as for lesnar and mir, lesnar got caught as you said. he even hesitated the tap out. you could see the look in his face like "what the fuck? really?" i know i was like thats a bitch move.
Yes I do, Randy has officially retired 3 times now. And at the time They fought is was for the belt. Randy was in no way a stepping stone holding the title. Do you have any evidence for your claim that Randy was only in it for the paycheck? I retired from wrestling twice before going back to it. I did it because I love the sport. Why can't Randy return for the same reason? You make a lot of assumptions and claims without demonstrating any validity.
@Evker0 do you know how many times randy "retired" hes in there for a pay check a stepping stone. Thats not a fight, it was to help Brock Lesnar become more popular. Also, he wasn't no ground game, it was given to him. Hes a money maker because fans like his attitude. UFC is becoming WWF.
