Great work.

One easy way to texture large sheets of copper is to use a hand held air hammer. Alter the end of one of the tools to the shape of the texture that you want. I screw the sheet to a piece of plywood then start hammering in the texture......it's crazy loud....ear plugs a must. You can hammer texture a 4x8 sheet in no time.

How much time did it take to get the bowl to that stage with the jack hammer?
I need to put a hammered texture on sheets, any ideas on a tool to do it. Currently I am using a ball peen hammer, but it is a strain on shoulders, arms, wrists. You know what I am talking about!
Looking good!

One of the things I love most about this nutty copper business is the willing attitude of others to share in knowledge and support. This is an interesting concept and although I do not have immediate requirement for this method, I assure you, I'll give it a try. Most of what I do, I want a bit more control over the results. On some projects, it is exactly the perfection of random hand work which is exactly the "perfection" I want. Thanks for taking the time to make the comment! dbcopper
