My solo canoe trip gear. Please note I placed the First Aid kit on the table when I described the bear spray. A first aid kit is vital. My hiking boots and water shoes are on the chair. The fuel in the pump bottle is white gas. I'm thinking of getting a smaller bottle. My 60L backpack is overstuffed and the sleep mat attaches to the bottom. My gear list was completed by watching Maddy the Goose videos and mirroring his gear, then checking it against the gear list of Mark Scriver in his book 'Canoe Camping'. The book I brought was Kevin Callan's "A Paddler's Guide To Algonquin Park".

  • car camping???

  • @wolfwind371 What are you asking about car camping?

  • Question...why is a beautiful woman like your self going solo?

Sorry, might be a little personal.

  • @kanukster, I don't know why she is, but you could ask her.

I went solo for many reasons. I had the time when no one else did. I wanted to go canoe camping where no one else did.

I wanted the challenge but no one else did. Those are a few of the basic reasons.

  • Nice little gear walk through Trish. Hope to see you back to Algonquin Park soon.

  • @AlgonquinOutfitters Thanks. It was fun to do. Oh I'll be back.

  • Awesome. Glad you came back safe. Heading in to Algonquin for 4 day hiking trip in 2 days. I have the same MSR filter system. Although I Just pump it into Nalgen Bottle.
