One of the greatest weaknesses and underestimated vulnerabilities in all networks globally is ignorance. Physical layer fiber is in many cases single-threaded and not diverse thus rendering useless all routing protocols and restoration schemes built above it. In order to be truly protected and ensure your business continuity you must be educated first. This session will look at and identify key interconnect systems from around the globe, including carrier hotels, peering points, subsea cable systems and landing points.

Featuring: Hunter Newby (Contributing Editor & Columnist at IP Business & Internet Telephony Magazine), Eric Gutshall (Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hibernia Atlantic) and Robert J. Aamoth (Chairman, Telecommunications Practice Group of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP).
