Arranger's Publishing Company Recording of Get it On

"The legendary lead trumpeter Bill Chase assembled some of the finest musicians to form the jazz-rock group CHASE. Sadly, Bill Chase along with other band members perished in an airplane crash in 1974. However his music lives on with these creatively arranged charts by MADISON SCOUTS arranger Scott Boerma. These charts utilize woodwinds and brass in a way that allows many bands to enjoy and experience this exciting music. Ranges are very reasonable and do not require a powerful lead trumpeter."

  • we did this arrangement for marching my freshman year in high school- it was a lot of fun to play, I miss doing it.

  • Nope this arrangement is not hot. The recording and performance however is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! BUT From 1974 to 1977 I played a version in my high school marching band that was how this song should be. A trumpet feature. It's a fricken Bill Chase song!!! Showcase the CASCADING HOOK on THE TRUMPET LOUD AND PROUD!!! Well okay I'm a bit of a trumpet player. I've player the big band version of this in the original key and I play it well. STILL..... Just saying. Keep up the good work... JIM

  • This is our closer for this marching season and it is my favorite songg out of EVERYTHING i have every played

  • I like how the trumpet solo isnt even a trumpet solo for the slow part. trololo
