I'm an idiot. I was babying this friggin thing over and through a snow plows pile of white shit. I should have just gunned it and we would have been better off. We finally got thru and then, again, i babied it up the snow path. the belly of the landy was dragging in the snow. it was deep, but if i tried harder, we would have made it to the field at the top of the hill. i will know better next time. Damn it!!! I forgot i was wearing that stupid hat!!!

  • i am looking into them actually. thanks for the reply

  • i was under equipped for sure. today i am running Super Swamper Radials (265R70 16s) that will rip thru it this winter. I have gained quite a bit of knowledge almost a year later. Thanks for watching!!! Tom

  • At least you had it in 4WD. The number of people who don't know how to put these series motors into 4WD, or forget the FWH's, or don't even realise they arn't always in 4WD is remarkable.

  • thats true...and funny!

  • That is what you get with no difflocks in front and rear.

  • you are right ...lol....i know better now.....

  • perhaps...but a jeep??? rather take an isuzu!!

  • @killerkowalczyk because it will go where a 2WD wont, but perhaps not quite as far as a 4WD with locking diffs that's why, plus they didn't install them on series rovers AFAIK.

  • What size tyre did you have on then

  • whats the point of having a 4x4 if you cant lock the diffs?

  • landrovers have ruled the roost for over 60 years with a locking centre dif. if it aint broke dont fix it. the diference is they need driver input to get the best out of them.

  • wide tyres tend to 'float' atop the snow rather than pushing into it, if you look at the tyres on ice/snow race cars they have narrow tyres with steel spikes in the tread they push through the snow and bite into the ice beneath

  • narrow tyres? isnt it supposed to be fat chunky tires with a low air pressure in them - they work like mini - tracks

  • Bloody Hell!!

  • i have one like it but its red and black
