This is a simple selection of works by some of the greatest russian composers:

7) Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No.1.
8) Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture.
9) Rimsky Korsakov: Russian Easter Festival Overture.
10) Rimsky Korsakov: Flight of the Bumblebee.
11) Rimsky Korsakov: Scheherezade.
12) Glazunov: Violin concerto in a minor, Op.82: Allegro.
13) Scriabin: Etude Op.8 No.12.
14) Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No.2.
15) Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
16) Stravinsky: The Firebird. Finale.
17) Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring.
18) Prokofiev: Montagues & Capulets.
19) Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No.3.
20) Khachaturian: Sabre Dance (he was born in Tiflis, in the Russian Empire at that moment (1903). He's like a Soviet-Armenian composer, that's why I included him).
21) Shostakovich: Suite Jazz No.2. Waltz.
22) Shostakovich: Piano Concerto No.2.

This video is not meant to disparage the works of other composers. There are lots of beautiful pieces that aren't included here, this is just a selection, it's almost impossible to include them all in one video, considering the maximum length and the editing work it involves. Could you please post -Cui: Orientale, Op.50, I can't find a good recording of it.

And could you also post -Rimsky Korsakov: Russian Easter Festival Overture, all the other posts of this composition aren't as good because the tempos are too slow.

It's a shame to see how people can't recognize beautiful music or simply don't listen to it because they feel they will be made fun of, I am still in my youth, I love classical, and I'm part of the young body builders group at school so I have earned my freedom.

@Dmitri2000 I do agree with you, I find Russian culture very interesting. For example all theese composers along with Leon Theremin and some, for me life changing, novelists like Fjodor Dostojevskij and Nikolaj Gogol. I hope I'll have a chanse to visit Russia one day and experience it's rich culture in person.
