please tell me you are kidding. I've been shooting an AR since I was 14, and I live in the nanny gun hater state of the East Coast, Massachusettes.

actually my father is a lefty and loves shooting the AR-15A2, especially in slow fire since he can see the round in the chamber where as me (a righty) have a slightly harder time loading the AR in slow prone.

Believe it or not, the NRA High Power rule book 'urges' the use of eye and ear protection, but both are technically optional. It is up to the match director to indicate if either is mandatory.
