In "Topper Takes a Trip" (1938), Topper dances with the ghost of Marion Kirby (Constance Bennett). His wife (Billie Burke), her friend (Verree Teasdale), a stray gigolo (Alex D'Arcy) and the hotel manager (Franklin Pangborn) are horrified when Marion de-materializes, leaving Topper in an involuntary solo. Norman Z. McLeod directed. No Cary Grant in this one, but Thorne Smith's novel is absolutely hysterical.

The dialog in this clip is slightly out of sync, but Roland Young never moved his lips anyway, so no great damage is done.
