How to be notified of sms&emails on iPhone home screen

Bonjour all,

In this video I will show you how to install and use an application, found in Cydia, called LockDockBar. LockdockBar is an application that displays 4 icons on your locked screen: SMS, Calls, Emails, Calendar. The app displays the notification badges for each app so if for example you have a new email, you will see this notification next to the email icon. From there, instead of unlocking the phone and launching the mail app, you simply tap the mail icon from your lock screen and it takes you there directly. Sounds great right!

Warning: I have been made aware that this application can cause confliction on firmware 2.0! I am using firmware 2.1 and have had no issues.

Caution: If you use a password protection, you should be aware that private texts, emails and contacts apps etc, can be easily accessed bypassing the need for your password!

Follow these steps:

1.Enter Cydia and go to sections-all packages and then press L on the index column to find LockDockBar.
2.Press install in the top right and then confirm to exercute the installation process.
3.Once installed, press the button on your screen which reads, respring springboard.
4.Now it has completed, press the sleep/wake button and bingo! Your icons are on your home display.

Yes, you download them from cydia and then apply them through winterboard.

I am using the "Orbz" theme, with the "dockflow" dock. I also have my dock set to transparent.

Hardly any repo's hold this app any more because it's crap. On anything from IOS 3 upwards it just constantly crashes the springboard! Thank god for mobile substrate safe mode!
