Until they said afterwards,oh it was Currys weight problem, pathetic. If he had fuckin weight problems he would of gone up and avoided Honeghan.

Just to add to that comment,if Curry weight problems were an issue, why was it when he went up in weight his career was coming to an end, fast. It was because Lloyd Honeyghan demolished him.Honeyghan was plagued with hand problems yet still no 10 stone fighter from mid `86 to mid `87 couldn`t get near beating him.

You know people like you make excuses like Curry did.If your a yank, thats bloody typical especailly if its a British fighter involved.Honeyghan was the greatest welterweight Britain has had since Ted Kid Lewis and has been since. That was the kind of Quality fighter that battered Franco Rossi,Horace Shufford(WBC 1 rated at the time) Battered Curry(9 year unbeaten) and battered next mandatory Bumphus.Honeyghan beat a dangerous Don Curry in his prime and the weight excuses were rubbish.

It's well known Curry was having major weight struggles at the time. That was the deciding factor here. Honeyghan was never in Curry's class as a fighter and would have been dispatched by a prime Curry post haste. Ditto Starling.

Curry was battered,he was the confidence man at the press conference before the Honey fight. That wanker didn`t take his opponent serious enough and if Marlon Starling was in the ring that night instead of weight excuses Curry,Starling would`ve took the same beating also.Honeyghan smashed Bumphus, his mandatory challenger and his next defense in 2 rds in emphatic style! Marlon Starling talking like that about Honeyghan was just a jealous bitch.

Curry looked looked his detonating best but how good was Mcrory? Not that good, that`s when Honeyghan stepped in and smashed Curry.

I still have this exact recording from 1986 on VHS. Currys left hook against Mcrory was just brilliant.
