  • Hmm I have only just started getting comic books and I just finished reading Welcome back, Frank and I loved it and it's tough for me to get a hold of comics because I'm from England and I only have a debit card so yeah erm any advice? Cheers.

  • I don't know. I use amazon mostly. You should go ask minikojib. He reads comics and lives in england.

  • im confused so the hardback and the paper back are different

  • Yeah the hardbacks are 2 of the paperbacks.

  • Interesting review

But I thought Kitchen Irish was good!

  • Well it's all a mater of oppinion isn't it? Just stating mine. I've heard a couple of people saying they liked Kitchen Irish. Personally I didn't.

  • However, I agree that Kitchen Irish is the weakest of the 10 Ennis arcs. Ennis gets a little too into the Irish thing and strays too far from the core of the series. The various crooks aren't as interesting and overall it feels more like an arc for the MK run than for MAX. I'd rate the six MAX volumes as follows: 3 > 2 > 5 > 1 > 4 > 6. The first five books are all worth reading. 2, 3 and 5 all have two ace stories in them, while 1 has one ace story and one clunker and 4 has two "OK" stories.

  • As far as the Ennis run goes, this volume is middle of the road for me. In The Beginning is a good start. It establishes the themes that go through the run, it has a good mix of story and action and its a fantastic introduction to the character. Everything you ever need to know about Punisher is explained in the story, so I disagree about starting with Mother Russia. Mother Russia has Frank as a mercenary. One of my fave arcs but not the best at establishing the character.

  • The point of Micro getting killed was to show that The Punishers sense of justice knows no bias.

  • anyone know any legendary spiderman(clone saga didn't do anything for me) and x men(read age of apocalypse, one million times) graphic novels

  • ....reviews aren´t supposed to spoiler the plot, thanks a lot...I strongly discourage anyone to play this video if you haven´t read the books (and if you already read the books I don´t know why would you want to watch this...)

  • @ChazShinRa I agree, in the Uk if your lucky enough to live in a big city and know where fb is located then its easy to collect all the great comics. However, if you live in a small town they your dependant on the Panini brand which are not that great.

  • @ChazShinRa Pirate bay.org . Search and thou will find

  • I just put my order in on Max Vol.1 in this review and Vol.2 I heard its really good

  • I disagree with you on Kitchen Irish. Just because Punisher wasn't in every frame doesn't mean it's bad... I thought that Finn Cooley, Maginty and French were very interesting characters and the I.R.A. and M.I.6 tie-ins were interesting. What the hell, by the way? You can't tell people who have never seen a Punisher comic to skip "In The Beginning." It exlains Frank as a character so much.

  • Grant, the premise of MAX, is that Frank has been active over 30 years. But it has its own continuity. It's also set in a realistic world.
