We can call it "evil" if we use mythologies. But perhaps the best expression might be a combination of bad knowledge, bad history, bad common sense and bad leadership. Charleston high school prom case is an example were the political system allowed lousy common white sense still claiming that "integration will destroy individualism" like parents of one white student were claiming in this film. They were not evil, they just had ridiculous worldview. Folly is belittled in MS.
