What's the miso?
Mr. Flenley first came to Osaka 30 years ago as an instructor for an English language school.
It was around this time that he discovered the fascination of making miso and joined the company, Osaka Miso Jyozo, owned by his wife's family, after having his great personality and abilities recognized by the former President.

I admire this guy for his ability to adapt to the new culture.

Most guys in his position, even if he was a Japanese, would refuse his father in law's suggestion to take over the family business that he knows nothing about.

As a foreigner, he has to learn the taste for a good miso to begin with.
