Nota bene : Because the northern Basque Country (Iparralde) is on French territory, the official names of our villages aren't in Basque. With this song, "Iparralde" we wanted to pay homage to our villages in their original language.

There are 158 villages in Iparralde and we couldn't fit in all of the names of villages :( which is why we're launching our "Iparralde" song contest in September 2011 so that other people can write new verses to the Iparralde song.
