VMware has Social Cast as the Facebook for enterprises. Soon VMware has project Octopus which will be the dropbox for enterprises. Sam, the product manager gave us a demo of the Tech Preview software on the VMware booth.

This is just great. I cannot get users to use SharePoint instead of file manager (shared drives) or sending an attachment to hundreds of people. Of course, i know why - because I hate using it too.

@gsandorx Did you watch the video? They saya about 10 times its like dropbox, but for companies and your company IT dept can control the content and not let other companies like dropbox control it.
The product keeps in sync local copies (like dropbox), its nothing really like sharepoint as sharepoint doesn't do syncing, doesn't do native clients etc
