Jacobs and York 1-2, top two times in nation. sorry you can't really see the race because i focus in on my team so much. i admit my bias. its crazy tho because they ran 7:46.3x, and well, as you can see they were a ways behind.

  • It looks like the second DGN guy ran about 1:53. That's flying for the second leg.

  • but yea he ran a 1:55 after running in the 4x8 which he has been the only person I know of so far who has been able to run a really good leg and still come back and place in the 800 open and was the only one that year in in the event who wasnt fresh besides yorks runner who didnt place at all, so just imagine if he was fresh. not saying he would have been state champ or nothing but i believe he would have been top 3

  • actually Isaiah Robbins was a 1:53 runner and actually ran around a 1:52 split this race his team was in 7th when he got the baton and when he handed it off they were slightly in first. I got to see him run a lot through my career and his there team rarely ran in illinois thats why nobody heard about them until they just appeared at state but you can jock on him cuz he did his thing he if im not correct place 6times throughout his career which is more then most people can say cuz most dont even!

  • I didnt realize this until now but i was at this meet and got to see this race but if i remember right quincy was in like 7th or 8th and then came back and handed it off in 1st going into the last exchange i think his name was Isaiah Robbins that ran for them i think that if they would have switched it up and he ran against jager it would have been a lot better and way closer race!!!

  • does anyone have the class a race?

  • The only reason no one ran faster than 7:46 this year (2007) is because everyone had to run extemely fast in prelims. If you werent under 7:51.34 you didnt make it. In 2006 the last team to make it was 7:55, that makes a huge difference.
