@CadillacL I never was a big Gino Hernandez fan. He was just too cocky to me- reminded me a lot of "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel- who thought he was a lot better then he really was. Food for thought: We all know of the Freebirds- Von Erich feud. How cool would have been if the Four Horseman went to World Class and had a feud with the Von Erichs. I know Flair and Kerry had epic battles... but add Ole/Arn vs. Kevin and David (or Mike after David passed away). Just think about the possibilities there!
@tommy15958 W/out a doubt THE biggest influence in wrestling. Somone, here on Youtube, even mentioned what if Gino had been a Horsemen? Interesting thought, IMO.
@CadillacL Yeah that is true, but if Tully had gotten over big in Mid-South, then we probably would never have had the 4 Horseman and that was one of the major influences in professional wrestling at that time.
@CadillacL Tully had lost a loser leaves town grudge match to his former Tag team partner Gino Hernandez at the end of 1981.. For 1 year he toured the south east area- making very brief stops in Mid-South, Memphis and Florida before he returned to Southwest for 1983. Basically he was testing the waters to see how he would be received nationally. He biggest feuds outside Texas was with Jerry Lawler in Memphis and Mike Graham in Florida. Tully never really got over in his 3 months at Mid-South.
@tommy15958 That woul'dve been awesome. Ole/Arn or Tully/Arn vs David & Kevin would've caused havoc.
