Laundry Safety

There are certain things you can do, right in your laundry room, to help keep your home and family safe!

Read the directions carefully for every laundry product you use.

It's important to dry your hands before handling any detergent pac.

Be careful with laundry liquid or powder spills; clean up the spill and wash your hands if you get any product on them.

When you're done, be sure to close the product completely, to help avoid accidents.

Discard or recycle empty packaging, don't re-use.

And importantly, keep all products out of reach of children.

Detergent, softener, everything should be stored so that children simply can't get to it.

If anyone in your household comes in accidental contact with any cleaning product, call the Poison Control Center or your doctor immediately for treatment advice. If you feel it is an emergency, don't take chances. Call 911.
