  • I used to travel this line with my parents from keighley to blackpool in the 50s, by steam train.

Now you have to go via Leeds or get a bus to hebden bridge. then get the train from there.

I'm all for it, Im going to become a SELRAP member.

  • I love trains, but this is not a commercially viable idea. The costs involved would never be recuperated nor justified. The credit crunch is the final nail in the coffin for SELRAP. Disband now!

  • Its madness that YOU cant get from Skipton to East Lancs/Manchester! WE NEED THIS LINK

  • Anything that reduces the number of cars on our roads has got to be a good thing. We should be opening more railways, not closing them down. I live and work in Skipton, but I know plenty of people commute from Colne by car who would benefit from this rail link.

  • I live in earby, and we need a car to get anywere

  • If the Labour government goes ahead with the road bypass it is committing political suicide in this area, with so much MP support.

It cannot argue with the case for reopening!

  • Good luck to your campaign.
