it's Mont Saint-Michelle (Saint Michael Mountain)
it's a small castle and a huge abbey built on a cliff that was on the beach, it's in northern france(not in a city, just by itself on a beach and nothing but farmland around)
the big golden thing you see on the roof of the church is a life-size solid gold statue of Saint Michael holding a sword.
I've been there :)
You have to be really quiet when you visit because it's still a monastery, and you see nuns walking around everywhere.

I regret not going here when I was in France in '07 and '08 - I was mostly in the Loire Valley. Someday. Great video!
