Ras Jedir Camp: March 3rd 2011

20,000 people are hosted in this temporary camp along the Tunisia - Libya Border. The evacuation pace is slow and the number of foreign workers stranded in Tunisia is increasing. The international community is supporting the set up of this camp but most of the work is done by the Tunisian Army, government and civil society. 104,000 people have crossed the border so far and more than haf of them are from Egypt. These images show us the camp that is being set up, the border crossing and the Djerba Airport where most of the evacuation is taking place. There are concerns that if the violence increases in Libya we might see up to 1,000,000 people escaping the fights.
