This transfer facility has a dumping-shed with open grates on a hillside next to the river. Coal trains come in and the cars pause over the grates to dump the coal from the mine. The coal then goes up a conveyor belt to a silo from which it is transferred to barges. The barges carry the coal to places such as the power plant up the river, which just installed scrubbers to remove chemicals, including synthetic gypsum, from the exhaust. Apologies for the jumpy video, I was filming while walking.
