@TheSpiffyGamer A Democracy does not have a large population of it's population Enslaved, barred from holding political position because of ethnicity, or denied votings rights based on race, sex or being poor.
Women in this country (Half the population) couldn't even vote until 1920. For a large portion of this countries history this was a "Democracy" for White Men only. Which means it couldn't actually be called a Democracy by anyone with a brain.

This country is not the "Oldest Democracy" Bill.
Many countries have a more valid claim to that.
Such as Iceland.
Kind of hard to accept this country could even be called a Democracy back in the days when a large population were damn slaves and denied right to vote.
