The two captains have 10 hours to build high-octane wheelie cars that can speed down a 100-yard drag strip and zigzag through a slalom course. They'll have to out-race and outmaneuver each other — all on two wheels. Traditional wheelie cars use the engine's torque to pop and hold the car in a wheelie, but the vehicles in the junkyard aren't that powerful. So, our captains will have to find a way to add enough weight to the back of their vehicles to force the cars into a wheelie.
The captains will choose teams from a pool of expert builders. There's Jason, a headstrong California cop, who only sees things in black and white. Doyle is an artistic hotshot, but he also comes with a hot temper. Monk is a daring drag racer who craves speed, but he can get stuck in low gear. Johnny is a rebel hot rodder. He loves engines and being in charge. Liam is an ace metal fabricator and artist, but his wild imagination doesn't conform to military standards. Chiko is a designer with explosive energy, but after two builds he's running low on fuel.
Our two captains and their teams take radically different approaches to tackling the same problem. Col. Dick relies on a precisely engineered battle plan, while Hackett defers to his artistic vision and desire to build something that looks dangerous. If he is going to win, he wants to look cool doing it.
With their vehicles grinded, welded, battered and hammered into creation, Col. Dick and Hackett head to the race track to face off.
You know there is one episode that's eluded me for a very long time. An episode where there are three teams, USA, UK, and Russia. I've tried looking it up, and what i found is a bit confusing. Some sites said it was season five episode eight, or nine.
