by far THE best starsky n hutch theme,immediate,urgent and punky with a soulful awareness. Personally love the way he changes the pulse as the strings and horns get involved. so very good

I prefer this version over the later one's. Made the show look more intense and dramatic, not too comedic.

Season 1 theme SOOO much better than the gay-ass ones that proceed it. THis one has a RAW, Edgier more sinister and serious tone to it. That set the tone of the series. Of course in my humble BUT accurate opinion.

This is when television was TELEVISION. None of this cable crap. When I was a youngster in the early 70's, I use to here about close circuit television [cable] and thought, would it must be hot stuff to have all that. I was wrong. We had the best television shows during the 70's. There are to many to list but this was one, Barney Miller, Three's Company, Good Times just to name a few. Now we have these trendy BS actors(tresses) who live in a gym, eat carrots and do not reflect on real life.
