I had pugs as a kid and you never get them out of your system. As an adult, I've had two rescues and one that I feel like I "rescued" from a supposedly reputable breeder that had several signs of being mistreated. I work with Pug Rescue now and it is the best! Pugs are GREAT!! for the right families.

Hello! Congrats on the litter! My pug just had a litter of 7 puppies 6 days ago! Although there were 2 runts in the litter that died the following day. Now today, the 6th day, i woke up this morning to find another one had died! The mother doesnt seem to pay enough attention to them. I think she may have pinned hin in the corner of the box, and it couldnt free itself. I make sure she feeds them evry hour or so. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do with the mother at night? Thanks!

i helped my baby pug,s mama give birth also. the mama pug belonged to someone I used to know. it was an amazing experience. i dived in with my bare hands and i helped her open up the sac and everything. it was so special. my main concern was to help her and her puppies. i fell in love instantly with each and one of them. theyall looked so different as they grew. one was the runt of the group and hand fed him with bottle milk. all 8 puppies came out.

I thought it was bad to touch baby puppies with your hands when they're being birthed... is that not true?
