@AronHallan yeah, one of the conditions of renewing the vows were he was to retire. Yeah im glad the Crew stayed together also. Except for Franco being Lieutenent. In my opinion That should have been Tommy's job, but then again, Tommy is proud to have Franco as his Superior because Tommy trained Franco as a rookie. And after that bossy mistake Franco made on the field, Franco realized there was more to the job and I bet he is a better Lieutenant now.

@AronHallan It was also sad that Janet was trying to take Tommy's right to be a man away from him. Trying to make him retire from the FDNY. Even going so far as to manipulate the kids into thinking the same thing. Did you catch Katy's comment to Tommy at Colleen's wedding after Tommy refused to retire. "Im going to start drinking and become a prostitute". Im glad Janet realized that Firefighting is what Tommy Loves and still has a bright future in even after 25 years.

@AronHallan it was kinda sad how everyone blamed Tommy for the familys misfortunes. Everyone in the family was hypocritical and had a hand in the misfortunes. 9/11 changed everyone in the family, not just Tommy. Janet was also a slut in the former days. Cheating on Tommy on certain occasions. And she has the gall to blame him for the family's feud with each other
And the kids always got tired of the different guys she brought in the house At least Tommy never exploited his girlfriends to them
